Dr. Frederik Wurm Institute od Organic Chemistry, Johannes Gutenberg University Macromolecular Chemistry Duesbergweg 10-14 Mainz Germany 55128 Email: frederik.wurm@epfl.ch Biographical Sketch: Frederik Wurm was born in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1981. He studied chemistry in Mainz from 2001 until 2006. He then conducted his doctoral studies in the group of Prof. Holger Frey in macromolecular chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz and finished his PhD in summer 2009. His work was focused on the synthesis of linear and branched macromolecular architectures via anionic polymerization with the focus on several applications, ranging from bioconjugation to electrochemistry. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland in the group of Prof. Harm-Anton Klok studying novel bioconjugates. He is supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung as a Feodor-Lynen fellow. |
