Biographical Sketch:
Christoph Schuell studied biomedical chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg – University (JGU) of Mainz (Germany) with a temporary stay at the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (USA) in the group of Todd Emrick, supported by a DAAD-fellowship. After another research stay at the Department of Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering in the group of Bernd Nidetzky at the Technical University of Graz (Austria) he received his diploma degree in 2010. Currently, he is working on his PhD thesis at the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the University of Mainz in the group of Holger Frey as a fellow of the MAINZ Graduate School of Excellence. His major research interest is the synthesis of novel functional polymer architectures by anionic polymerization techniques.
