Biographical Sketch:
Tyler Dare is a PhD Candidate at Purdue University, studying tire-pavement noise. Since 2007, Tyler has written and presented papers at conferences such as NoiseCon, InterNoise, EURONOISE, and the Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board. Tyler received an INCE/USA Student Paper Award in 2010 for “Noise generation in contraction joints in Portland cement concrete”, and received the 3M E-A-R Acoustics Scholarship in 2008. Tyler’s research focuses on the effects of pavement parameters on tire-pavement noise generation, including identifying noise generation mechanisms and quiet pavements.
