Biographical Sketch:
Costantino Creton graduated in Materials Science from the EPFL (Switzerland) in 1985. He obtained his Ph.D in 1991 at Cornell University (USA) and joined the ESPCI Paris first as a post-doctoral associate in 1993 and, since 1994 as a C.N.R.S. permanent researcher. He was promoted CNRS research director (equivalent to Professor) in 2001 in the laboratory of Soft Matter Science and Engineering where he leads a group working on Soft Polymer Networks. He is also Professor at the Global Station for Soft Matter of the University of Hokkaido, Japan, since 2016.
