Biographical Sketch:
Vahab Solouki Bonab is PhD candidate working in Prof. Ica Manas-Zloczower’s group from 2014 at Macromolecular Science and Engineering department of Case Western Reserve University. He is working on development of TPU/carbon based nanoparticle filled nanocomposites with advanced properties. Development of such nanocomposites desires precise control over dispersion of nanoparticles, polymerization of polyurethane and morphology of final nanocomposite as well as the scale up feasibility. In order to achieve this goal, he is combining modeling and simulation with rheological, morphological, thermal and mechanical analysis to deeply understand the system of study and provide guidelines to design and produce TPU nanocomposites with desired properties. Vahab is active member of ACS rubber division from 2015, Polymer Processing Society since 2011, Society of Plastic Engineering since 2014, American Chemical Society from 2016 and American Association for Advancement of Science since 2016.
