Biographical Sketch: Amit Das is a senior scientist in the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden and head of the Smart Rubbers group. He is also working in the Tampere University of Technology, Tampere, Finland as a part time professor. His research interests lie in the fields of self-healing rubbers, mechano-adaptive rubbers, artificial muscles and elucidation of the rubber chemistry. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in different peered reviewed journals. Not only the journal publications but also he is the author of several edited books and dozens of international patents.
