Biographical Sketch: President and Founder - Gelest, Inc. (Morrisville, PA) April 1991 - present
Dr. Arkles formed Gelest Inc. to develop and manufacture silicon and metal-organic based chemicals and polymers for applications in microelectronics, optoelectronics, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
Vice-President, Corporate Development - Hüls America/Evonik (Piscataway, NJ) 1990-1991
Dr. Arkles was responsible for all research, development, scale-up and commercialization technology for Hüls America.
President and Founder - Petrarch Systems (Bensalem and Bristol, PA) 1974 - 1990 / Vice President, General Manager Silanes, Hüls America. Petrarch Systems, acquired by Hüls in 1985, was involved in development and manufacture of advanced silicon and silicone products for medical devices, microelectronics and advanced composites.
Manager, Technical Development - LNP Engineering Plastics / GE Advanced Materials (Exton, PA) 1968 to 1975
