Biographical Sketch:
Nicole Swanson is a PhD candidate at The University of Akron in the Department of Polymer Science advised by Dr. Coleen Pugh. In 2011 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI. She completed an International Research Experience for Undergraduates (iREU) sponsored by the NSF through Syracuse University at the University of Graz in Graz, Austria in Summer 2010. In October 2013 she won the Ohio Rubber Group Graduate Student Award. She also has industrial research experience working as a part-time graduate industrial intern at The Lubrizol Corporation in the Advanced Materials segment in Brecksville, Ohio.
