Selecting the Best Peroxide and Coagent Combination for High Performance Applications

With dozens of potential combinations available, selecting the best peroxide and coagent match is quite difficult. Each application necessitates different groupings in order to meet its unique performance requirements and also be competitive enough to be viable in the marketplace. Since peroxides exhibit special storage and usage challenges because of their Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT), care must also be taken to insure the safety of employees during the use of peroxides. This presentation will describe some of the more common peroxides and coagents, showing the unique features of each one along with which combinations to use for various applications. We will also address the proper dispersions to use to provide safe storage and handling of the peroxides for the protection of plant personnel.
