Biographical Sketch:
Dr. R. Ray Gehani has been innovating for the past many years by cross-breeding his expertise in multiple disciplines. He has acquired this expertise from two terminal doctorates: Dr. of Engineering in polymer engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation from the City University of New York, with some coursework at Columbia. He solo authored a book on Technology management and Operations (John Wiley & Sons), chaired Technology Management Section of INFORMS (The Institute for Operations Research & management Science), and led 4 teams of graduate students to be semifinalists in global competitions at Purdue University in 2008 and 2010, and Oak Ridge national Lab in Knoxville in 2008 and 2010. He just returned from Japan where he was invited to give lectures and lead discussions at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Chiba University, Kanazawa Institute of Technology and Globis University in Tokyo – in Japanese language.
