Biographical Sketch: Dr. Wesley Wampler is the Vice President of Research and Development for Sid Richardson Carbon & Energy Company. Dr. Wampler received a B.S. degree in Chemistry and Biology from Tarleton State University, an M.S. degree in Organic Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is an active member of the American Chemical Society Rubber Division where he has presented numerous papers and chaired many symposia. He is also a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials Committee D24 on Carbon Black where he has chaired several subcommittees. He has been employed by SRCE for over 27 years and has held Senior Research Chemist and Manager of the Fort Worth Research Center positions before being promoted to his current post. He has co-authored two chapters on Carbon Black covering its use in the rubber industry as well as several patents.
