Biographical Sketch:
Chenchy Jeffrey Lin, Ph.D., Growth Leader for Momentive Performance Materials. He began his career with Bridgestone Research in 1996 working for new tire material developments. In 2011, he helped Arizona Chemical establish the rubber expertise before joining Momentive. His special interests are in the areas of filler morphologies, polymer-filler interaction, filler-filler interactions, silica technologies including coupling and shielding agents, silane chemistry, resin technology, understanding and manipulation of viscoelastic properties in silica-filled rubbers. He holds an MS in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in Polymer Science & Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, NY. He did his postdoctoral fellowship with Professor Grassley at Princeton University. He has written 25 papers published by the Rubber Chemistry and Technology, Macromolecules, J. Chem. Physics, Physical Review Letter, J. Applied Polymer Sci., etc. He has 36 patents issued by the US patent office.
