Biographical Sketch: Dr. Terri Carvagno is a Research Associate in the Adhesives and Polymers Technology group at Eastman Chemical Company, Kingsport, TN. She has 20 years of experience in new product development, applications research, and formulation of coatings and adhesives, and holds several U.S. and international patents in thin-film adhesion and processing. Carvagno joined Eastman in 2005 and provides technical support on the use of resins in rubber compounding and hot melt adhesives. Most recently, Carvagno has been working to develop a deeper understanding of the interactions between resins and polymers in tire compounds. Carvagno has a B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and is a Design for Six Sigma Black Belt.
