Biographical Sketch: Dr-Ing Laurent Guy is actually in charge of the Applications Teams for the Precipitated Silica Markets (Tire, Feed/Food Nutrition, Oral Care, Industrial Applications) as R&D Lab Manager.
In 1992, he is graduated from the Chemical High School of Mulhouse as Chemical Engineer.
In 1997, he has obtained a PhD thesis in the Polymer Chemistry Next, in 1998, he has followed postdoctoral-fellowship with Michelin and next with Rhodia.
He has joined Rhodia in 2001 as Application Engineer for the development of the silica systems for Tire Applications.
In 2005, he is evolved towards the Advanced Material Department as senior staff scientist. Since 2007, he has the position of Lab Manager for the Silica Applications (including Tire Market).
He is co-author of several scientific publications and patents in the field of the rubber reinforcement using silicas systems and the rubber frictions.
