CNTs are difficult to disperse into rubber matrices as compared with conventional fillers such as CB and silica. The research work presents a comparative investigation of conventional and innovative processing methods to disperse CNTs in different rubber matrices. Higher degree of reinforcement and extremely low electrical percolation threshold can be achieved by advanced mixing strategies based on elongational flow such as extrusion through special die and continuous dynamic latex compounding.
