Fletcher is currently the lead for the Elastomers and Sealants Supportability Program of the Systems Support Division of the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. In that position, he is responsible to strategically plan, coordinate, and execute the laboratory’s technical efforts in elastomers and sealants maintainability and supportability. Mr. Fletcher is a recognized international expert in elastomeric materials and processes. He is the industry leader for aerospace sealants and fluid seals. Mr. Fletcher received a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Ohio State University in 1981, followed by a M.S. from the University of Virginia in Materials Science and Engineering in 2009. He has chaired the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Committee on Aerospace Sealants for the last 20 years and is past chair of the SAE Committee on Aerospace Elastomers. |
