He was recruited from his native country of Sweden to swim and study at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Upon completing his Bachelor degrees in Biology and Chemistry he also finished a Master of Science degree in Chemistry. Michael received his PhD in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin with a focus on materials development and testing for the semiconductor industry. While pursuing his doctoral studies he received extensive exposure to cross-disciplinary and industry collaborations leading to various publications and patent applications. |
