Mr Lewis Tunnicliffe, BSc, (Hons), MRes Queen Mary University of London Department of Materials Science Mile End Road London London United Kingdom E1 4NS Email: l.tunnicliffe@qmul.ac.uk Biographical Sketch: After graduating in chemistry from Hatfield College, Durham University, Lewis joined the research and development department at Sibelco Europe where he primarily worked on inorganic nano particles as fillers in the plastics and rubber industries. Taking this interest further he joined the Rubber Research Group at Queen Mary in 2009 with sponsorship from Sibelco where he gained a distinction for his Masters work. Lewis is currently working toward his PhD at Queen Mary with part support from Sibelco. Lewis was the 2011 recipient of the James S Walker prize of the UK’s Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining for his polymer research. |
