Lauren Slutzky is a PhD student in Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering at The Ohio State University. She received a BS in Psychology and a BS with Honors in Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2011. Her research interests include polymer engineering, emulsion chemistry, and cell culture substrates, as well as applications in biomedical materials and user oriented medical device development. Ms. Slutzky has worked in basic cardiothoracic research at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, as well as in cognitive memory research at The Ohio State University prior to beginning her PhD. Ms. Slutzky's research has been funded by organizations such as the American Heart Association, and has received national awards from the Society for Pediatric Research and the American Physiological Society, and was the first undergrad to win Research Day at Nationwide Children's Hospital. |
