Leblanc UPMC - Paris-Sorbonne Universités Polymer Rheology and Processing 60, rue Auber Vitry-sur-Seine France 94408 Email: jean.leblanc@ifoca.com Biographical Sketch: Born in 1946, Jean Léopold Leblanc studied physico-chemistry and polymer science at the University of Liège, Belgium, and received his Doctorate in Sciences (Ph.D.) in 1976. He then joined Monsanto, where from 1976 to 1987, he held positions in several divisions. In 1987, he moved to Montedison company as Manager, Technical Assistance and Applied Research, then to Enichem company in 1989 as Manager, Applied Research in. In 1993, he was elected “Professeur des Universités” in France and joined the UPMC – Paris-Sorbonne Univ., as head of the Polymer Rheology and Processing laboratory, in the French Rubber Institute. He is still in this position today and, since 1997, he is also Visiting Professor at the Free University of Brussels. He has published three books (last one : Filled Polymers : science and industrial applications - CRC Press, Florida, USA - 2010) and more than 100 papers. |
