Generally, to reuse of waste rubber, the three dimensional network of the thermoset rubber system must be broken down either through the cleavage of crosslinks, or through the carbon–carbon linkage of the chain backbone. However, A Novel Strategy of reuse of Waste Rubber is proposed, in which the three dimensional network of the thermoset rubber system is taken advantaged of, and moreover, be enhanced by additional sulfur modification to form a useful material. This material is a compound of ebonite in-situ toughened by rubber particles, or even reinforced by waste nylon fiber from tire. It can be a good substitute of wood in some situation. Its preparation, structure and properties are introduced preliminarily.
