Dr. Armin Holzner Semperit Technische Produkte GmbH Triester Bundesstraße 26 2632 Wimpassing Austria Email: Armin.Holzner@semperit.at Biographical Sketch: Dr. Armin Holzner, born in 1964, studied Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) at the Technical University in Vienna. In his PhD-thesis he investigated the organic synthesis of artificial RNA-analogas. He gained his PhD in 1991 and succeded with a post doctoral fellowship at the ETH Zürich with Prof. Eschenmoser in the field of RNA-analogas as a base for the evolution of biooligomers. In 1994 he started to work for Semperit Technische Produkte GesmbH. After several positions in Semperit he became Chief Chemist in 2000, where he is responsible for Chemistry and Development for the Semperit Group. |
