STUBBS GROUP LEADER – WEST ANALYTICAL SERVICES Laura Stubbs joined West in May 2005 as a Manager, Pharma Testing. Her responsibilities included managing an organic laboratory group focused on contract extractable and leachable testing of packaging components and drug product, method development and method validation. In 2009, Laura assumed her current role as Group Leader. She currently supervises a group that performs extractable and leachable testing of packaging components and drug product, method development and validation in a GMP environment. In addition, she has authored study protocols and analytical reports and serves as the technical contact for clients regarding studies and reports. Laura also designs and manages extractable studies supporting West’s internal products. Prior to joining West, Laura spent eight years as a Chemist and Project Leader for Monarch Analytical Laboratories in Maumee, Ohio, where she was responsible for analysis on a variety of packaging materials for quality assurance and control, product research and production troubleshooting. Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Ohio Northern University in 1996. She is the co-author of a variety of scientific posters, including “Chemical Characterization of Container Closure Systems: A Systematic Approach to the Extraction Process,” (2005) and “Controlled Extraction Study on Polypropylene Test Article,” (2005). Laura has also participated in studies for the PQRI Leachables and Extractables Working Group. |
