Gruber studied Theoretical Physics at the Technical University of Graz, Austria. In his doctoral thesis he modelled and optimized the electrodynamic behavior of organic opto-electronic multilayer devices. In the years 2001/2002 D.P. Gruber worked as a researcher at the Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), Freiburg, Germany. D.P. Gruber started research work at the Polymer Competence Center Leoben (PCCL), Austria in the year 2003. Today D.P. Gruber chairs woking groups at the PCCL with the research focus on “Material electrodynamics”, “Optimization of solar- electric and solar-thermal devices” and “Surface characterization and IN-LINE-inspection”. |
