Akron, OH USA 44325 Email: becker@uakron.edu Biographical Sketch: Matthew L Becker completed his PhD in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Karen L Wooley at Washington University in St. Louis in 2003. He was awarded a National Research Council fellowship to work with Eric J. Amis at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Biomaterials and Biophysics. In 2005, he joined the research staff in the Polymers Division at NIST where he led programs in Tissue Engineering, Materials Directed Cell Function and Bioimaging. In 2009, he joined the Department of Polymer Science as an Associate Professor. He also leads the Orthopaedic Technology Platform of the Austen Bioinnovation Institute in Akron and is the Co-director of the Akron Functional Materials Center.
