For her Diploma thesis under supervision of Prof. Dr. R. Borsdorf about: "NMR investigation of Carbazinic acid derivatives and its complexes" she received the predicate “Summa cum laude”. From September 1994 to May 1996 Susanne successfully completed a Post gradual study “Analytics and Spectroscopy” at Leipzig University. In April 1997 she finished her PhD work under supervision of Prof. Dr. R. Borsdorf/ Leipzig University on the topic "Synthesis, stereo chemical characterization and analytical application of chiral tin organic compounds” with the predicate “Summa cum laude”. From October 1993 to September 1997 Susanne Knoll was employed at Leipzig University/ Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy as scientific co-worker. In October 1997 she joined the Analytical Science Group of The DOW Chemical Company in Schkopau, Germany as Analytical specialist and moved to the STYRON Deutschland GmbH in March 2010.
