PhD Wilma Dierkes Univerity of Twente Ctw Drienerlolaan 5 Enschede Netherlands 7522NB Email: w.k.dierkes@utwente.nl Biographical Sketch: Wilma Dierkes is working as associate professor in University of Twente, Elastomer Technology & Engineering Group. She studied chemistry at the Technical University Hannover (Germany), and has an additional degree in environmental science from the Fondation Universitaire Luxembourgeoise (Belgium). After finishing her studies she started to work for a Dutch rubber recycling company where she was in charge of R&D, Technical Service and Marketing. She left the company after 7 years and started working for a German company in their Belgian plant producing windshield wipers. Her main task was the development of new windshield wiper rubber systems. She joined Elastomer Technology & Engineering Group in August 2001 as assistant professor and started at the same time with her own PhD research, which she finished in April 2005. Since July 2008 she has been associate professor. Since 2009 she has been a visiting professor in Tampere University of Technology, Finland. |
