It has long been known that the performance of rubber compounds, e. g. their tensile properties, wear resistance and tear strength, can be improved by loading the compounds with particulate fillers. Good dispersion of the fillers is necessary to achieve optimum reinforcement. It was observed that the addition of small quantities POLYVEST MA 75 leads to increased tensile strength and higher elongation at break, even in formulation with less amount of carbon black. We assume that POLYVEST MA 75 provides a good dispersion of chalk and carbon black. Silica. however, offers several advantages over carbon black. In tire treads, silica yields a higher wear resistance and better wet grip in combination with lower rolling resistance that carbon black. Silica, a coupling agent and rubber  are usually simultaneously introduced into internal mixers. When silica is mixed with commonly used apolar olefic rubbers, there will be a great occurrence of hydrogen-bond interactions between surface silanol groups in agglomerates. POLYVEST MA 75 provides a higher compatibility of hydrocarbon rubbers and precipiated silica by wetting the surface of silica. It reduces the viscosity and mixing time and takes place in the vulcanization. Ground Tire Rubber (GTR), or "tire crumb" is used in many applications, including as infill material in synthetic turrf fields, play ground installation, mats and plastics. Concern is growing over potential human health and environmental risks with the potential exposure to tire crumb in artificial turf. Coatings based on POLYVEST EP EPH 379, can minimise Zn leaching, colouring and heating. Coating surface provides good abrasion resistance. Crumb rubber is the basic recycled material processed to produce various rubber mats. Vulcanized crumb rubber mats are made by chemically bonding the rubber under pressure and heat with POLYVEST 110 and VESTENAMER 8012. Heat curable sealant and adhesive compositions are commonly used in the automotive industry. Joints between component parts may be secured , filled or sealed with such compositions. These products are cured to develop the full strength and durability of the joints and seals by passing through a stoving oven. Compositions often used for such purposes are rubber based systems.
