“Greener” Tire Manufacturing Using Agilon™ Performance Silicas

Previous presentations have discussed how appropriate chemical modification results in a new technology platform, Agilon™ Performance Silicas, which produces modified precipitated silicas that overcome the manufacturing limitations associated with the current conventional technology while enabling further expansion of the tire “magic” triangle.  In this presentation we will discuss how these performance fillers reduce VOC emissions for a more environmentally-responsible manufacturing process.  The results indicate that the use of Agilon™ Performance Silica essentially eliminates > 99% of the alcohol related VOC emissions.
