Liquid rubber/clay composites were prepared using solvent mixing and used as the master batch in preparation of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR)/clay nanocomposites. The addition of liquid rubber on mechanical properties of SBR/clay nanocomposites and clay disperstion was studied. Allylamine was used as the compatibilizer to further improve the dispersion of the filler and the reinforcement of the rubber.
