ZS 1165MP was launched 20 years ago and has progressively become the global standard for full silica tire tread technology, used in the production of fuel efficient tires. In many zones, this market has reached an established maturity level, from both a technical and commercial standpoint.

To go a step further in the fuel saving and performance improvement including processing, recent innovations from Rhodia will be illustrated  :
- ZS Premium 200MP, a High Surface Area (HSA) HPS Technology, launched in 2009has the ability to extend magic triangle and is implemented on a global level. This silica is becoming the new standard, well adapted to fit with the new Tire Labelling Regulations. Its combination with specific materials now available on the market leads to a new performance compromise, including processability in the compound and tire production,
- ZS 1085Gr, a Very Low Surface Area (VLSA) HPS technologylaunched in 2010, is opening new fields such as high grip tire treads and non-tread parts of the tire.
