This paper will discuss the preparation of high vinyl butadiene polymer and their uses in the blends of several synthetic elastomers hatic elastomere to ascertainn their thermal and aging properties in tire formulations. It was found that HVPD was totally miscible with high cis PI which published previously resulted in the enhanced thermal stability of such a blend. However, even though HVPBD was immiscible with high cis PBD as was shown by DSC and TEM, the resulting blend show better thermal stability.termal and aging properties in a tire formulations It appeared that the presence of high vinyl in this blend behave as a radical stabilizing agent for both high cis PBD and high cis PI. The data from RPA and TGA will be discussed in this presentation.
