Isayev is Distinguished Professor of Polymer Engineering at the University of Akron. He received MSc in ChemEng from Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry and ApplMath from Institute of Electronic Machine Building and Ph. D. in Polymer Engineering Science from USSR Academy of Sciences. His research interests are polymer, composite and nanocomposite processing, rheology and modeling. He received Outstanding Researcher Award, University of Akron Alumni Association, OMNOVA Solutions Signature University Award, Melvin Mooney Distinguished Technology Award, Silver Medal from Institute of Materials, Vinogradov Prize, NorTech Award. He is SPE Fellow. He has published over 225 journal articles, 29 book chapters, 5 encyclopedia papers, 26 patents, edited six books and one monograph, graduated 40 PhD and 36 MSc. He is Editor-in-Chief, Advances in Polymer Technology, on boards of many journals. Prior to joining the University in 1983, he conducted research at Cornell University, Technion and USSR Academy of Sciences. |
