Born in Regensburg / Germany in December 1962
Studied physics from 1985 to 1995 and graduated to a PhD
focused on Characterization of Filled Elastomers by Scanning-Probe-Microscopy;
Since October 1995 working in the section Product Development of Carbon Black in the Applied Technology Department of Degussa AG;
From January 1999 until January 2003 Manager Product Development of Rubber Carbon Blacks.
Since February 2003 Director Applied Research and Development - responsible for product development of carbon blacks, silicas and silanes for rubber application, research on the understanding of the interaction of nanofillers with the polymer matrix and additionally responsible for product characterization and method development;
Introduction of new products at customers worldwide and at international conferences; cooperation with customers in JDAs and funded projects
