Biographical Sketch: Dr. Roger A. Cassell
Dr. Roger A. Cassell is a Senior Technical Service Representative for The Dow Advanced Materials, A Dow Company. He specializes in rubber to metal bonding technology. A 26-year veteran of the Engineered Rubber Products Industry, Roger served as Technical Manager of Material Development Groups supporting both manufacturing efforts as well as product and process design. He holds a Ph. D. in Chemistry from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). His dissertation work involved the use of Organo-Silane Chemistry in natural product synthesis and studying reaction mechanisms in Organic Chemistry.
Roger is a member of ACS, ACS Rubber Division and SAE. He holds a U.S. Patent and has authored papers related to rubber to metal bonding during his tenure with Dow Advanced Materials (formerly The Rohm and Haas Company), where he provides technical guidance and manufacturing recommendations to the seals and gasket manufacturers.
