Styrene-Butadiene rubber (SBR) compounded with carbon black have good physical and dynamic mechanical properties.  The buckminsterfullerene is seen as an excellent filler for compounding with elastomers due to its excellent physical properties.  This work investigates the effect of various loadings of buckminsterfullerene with and without carbon black on SBR compound.  Various properties studied to analyze the effect of buckminsterfullerene on SBR compound are; tensile, elongation, compression set, rheological characteristics and crosslink density.
