Petersen graduated from Norwich University as a member of the Corps of Cadets with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He has over thirty years of experience in tire testing, working for Armstrong Rubber Company and Pirelli Tire, and now at Consumers Union, publisher of Consumer Reports for that last fourteen years. Mr. Petersen works out of the Auto Test Center Division in East Haddam Connecticut. His current position is Tire Program Leader, where he is directly responsible for tire testing and is one of the engineers evaluating new cars for the organization. He is a member of SAE.
