She has her B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of California, Davis and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Toxicology at this same institution. She is board-certified in toxicology and has focused her academic and consulting experience in the field of inhalation toxicology and risk assessment. Her current research interests involve the effects of inhaled nanoparticles and physicochemical characteristics which influence oxidative stress, injury patterns, and particle fate and transport. Ms. Madl has published over 50 abstracts, book chapters, and peer-reviewed papers on various occupational and environmental exposure, toxicology, and risk-related topics.
