Dr Nico Huntink Teijin Aramid BV Velperweg 76 Arnhem Netherlands 6802 ED Email: nico.huntink@teijinaramid.com Biographical Sketch: Dr. Nico Huntink studied Analytical Chemistry at the Higher Professional Education ‘OLAN’ in Arnhem, The Netherlands where he obtained his degree in 1985. In 1991 he obtained a degree in polymer technology and in 1997 a degree in rubber technology. In 2003 he completed his Ph. D. in the Rubber Technology group at the University of Twente, promoted by Prof. dr. ir. J.W.M. Noordermeer, on the topic ‘Durability of Rubber products’. After his military service in the Netherlands, he joined the Akzo Nobel Research Laboratories in Arnhem in 1986 where he held the position of analytical chemist. In 1998, he resumed responsibility as an application research manager for the rubber chemicals department of Akzo Nobel (now Flexsys), especially for the New Products group but also for Crystex and customer related projects. In 2006 he resumed responsibility as technical and sales account manager for the Tire department of Teijin Aramid. In this role he has a worldwide responsibility. Commercially he is responsible for Asia. |
