Professor Anil Bhowmick Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur Rubber Technology Centre- IIT Kharagpur Kharagpur India 721302 Email: anilkb@rtc.iitkgp.ernet.in Biographical Sketch: Prof. Anil K. Bhowmick is the Professor of Eminence and former Head of Rubber Technology Centre and former Dean of IIT Kharagpur. He was previously associated with the University of Akron, Ohio, USA, London School of Polymer Technology, London and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. His main research interests are: Thermoplastic Elastomers and Polymer blends, Nanocomposites, Polymer modification, Rubber Technology, Failure and Degradation of Polymers, Adhesion and Adhesives. He has more than four hundred publications in these fields, 35 book chapters and seven co-edited books. He received many prestigious awards including the 2002 "Chemistry of Thermoplastic Elastomers" award and 1997 "George Stafford Whitby" award of the ACS Rubber Division and 2001 K.M. Philip award of AIRIA, India. He is on the Editorial Board of many international journals . He holds twelve patents . He has guided thirty five Ph.D. students so far. |
