ABSTRACT

In today’s challenging economic times, rubber goods manufacturers are looking for even the smallest cost savings while at the same time producing a quality product.  Reducing their overall processing cost is an excellent way to achieve this goal. Often this can be accomplished by using a lower viscosity base polymer.  Significant work has been done to develop a family of new low Mooney HNBR polymers.             This work will demonstrate that this new generation of low Mooney HNBR polymers will have the required excellent processing characteristics to achieve improved productivity, while maintaining the physical properties and superior aging performance that HNBR polymers are note for.
